Read what Jim Gordon, President of Cape Wind, has to say about Marty:
Marty Aikens would make a great Quincy city councilor because he is passionate about improving the quality of life for working families in this region. He has the insight and sense of how policies can be formulated and implemented to create a more prosperous and secure environment for Quincy and region. Most importantly he has the energy and commitment to ensure that necessary action be taken to realize these goals. Over the years, Marty has been an early supporter and key architect for building a clean energy economy for the South Shore and Massachusetts. His willingness to jettison the status quo and become a missionary for a new emerging industry for the building trades and all Citizens has positioned Massachusetts to become a global leader in the fast growing clean energy industry. He knew achieving this meant new green jobs, greater energy independence and a healthier environment for our children.
Marty Aikens has made a meaningful contribution in moving our state forward and that is why I believe he is up to challengeof being a great Quincy city councilor.
